The Guide of European Hinge Installation

1. There are many kinds of brass hinges on market, such brass hinges for furniture, brass hinges for doors and so on, and the types are different. The most conventional style people often use is 35 cup damping hinge. First of all, we need tell the cover position of the popular science hinge. Generally, the hinges are divided into straight hinges with full cover and mid-bend hinges with half cover and big bend with no cover or inner cover. Usually people choose the hinge style according to the requirements.

 

2. Here we take the installation with a full-covered cabinet door for instance. First, you should measure the thickness of the cabinet body. The thickness of the brass hinge is 14-21mm.

 

3. Then open the cup hole on the cabinet door according to the data provided by the manufacturer.

 

4. Install with the hinge of H=3, if the distance corresponding to the above figure is 5mm, then the corresponding opening is 5mm.

 

5. Next, open holes on both sides of the cabinet door.

 

6. Install the hinge cup of the hinge on the cabinet door with screws, and install on both sides.

 

7. Use the tool to mark the screw position with a straight line.

 

8. Press the tail buckle of the hinge, and remove the base of the hinge. If the hinge is fixed and cannot be removed, it can only be installed directly.

 

9. Install the two hinge bases on the cabinet with screws.

 

10. Fasten the hinge arm onto the base, and press firmly with the fingers, if hearing a click, it indicates that the hinge has been buckled.

 

11. So far, the cabinet door hinge has been installed.

 

After installation, the minor problems may appear. There is a big gap on the cabinet door. What should do if the cabinet door has a big gap? How to solve it? Don’t worry about it. You just adjust the screw on the tail to reduce the door gap. Also, if the cabinet door is not in place, how to do? It can be solved by adjusting the middle screw of the hinge. Is it perfect? If you want to clean the cabinet, you can press the tail buckle to separate the cabinet door and the cabinet.
